Shimla : Travel of North India

Shimla is in Himachal Pradesh. The destination has attracted world wide tourist due to its beauty. I am going to write here about Shimala as a tourist guide from a blog which name is Indian Travel Destination Guide.

Shimla originally known as Simla. It is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864 Shimla has been declared as summer camp of the erstwhile by British Raj in India. Shimla is normally known as “Queen of Hills” and a tourist destination point.

Shimla geography tells that it is about 2397.59 high from the sea level. Jakhoo hill is the highest point of Shimla which is about 2454 meters above.

People of Shimla known as Shimlaites. During the tourist season you can see every year celebration of people with variety of traditional festivals.

In Shimla main attraction points for visitors are – The Mall which is shopping center.

Christ Church: It is situated on the Ridge and it is second oldest Church of Northern India.

Jakhu Hill: Is is 2 km far way from Shimla. It is the highest peak so you can enjoy a beautiful view of the town which is from snow-covered Himalayas.

Shimla State Museum: It has been opened in 1974 and it is full of state’s wealth and culture’s view.

Summer Hill: it is situated on Shimla-Kalka railway line and it is about 5 km away from Shimla.

Tara Devi: It is the temple of Star Goddess and is very famous in the state of Himachal. It is 11 km way from Shimla bus stand.

The big advantage of traveling

Everybody likes traveling! This is a proven fact when a person travels, especially abroad it gives him fun and pleasure. It doesn't even matter what is the weather - new things, new buildings, new people around him give new experience and is a nice distracting issue for those who work hard and do not have time to rest.

North India Destination Travel

North India is the one of the most beauty part of India. It is famous for hill station as well as religion. North India cover from Delhi to Srinagar. In this traveling most important parts comes from Uttranchal and Uttrakhand.

Here specially I am going to let you know about Uttranchal and Uttrakhand traveling. In these main tourist places are Nanital, Mussoorie and Auli.

Nanital : It is known as two words “Naini” and “Tal”. In the Nainital most visiting place as a hill station are - Naina Peak, Bhimtal, Sat Tal, Naukuchia Tal, Snow View etc.

Mussoorie main attractions are - Mussoorie Lake, Gun Hill, Mall Road etc. Mussoorie is mainly famous for hill station and skiing.

Auli : it is one more Indian traveling destination which is famous for Hill station and skiing. Boating are also famous here. Here main attraction are - Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Gurso Bugyal etc.

These are the some important part of North India to visit. These are known as holiday destination in north India.

Traveling for Chandigarh City

Chandigarh known as one of the most beautiful city of India. It is the capital of Panjab and Haryana jointly. Chandigarh city is on the name of goddess Chandi who is the goddess of Hindu. It is one of the union territory of India.

Geography of Chandigarh:

It is basically located in Haryana state. It is located near about foothills of the Shivalik range of the Himalayas in Northwest India. It is in approximately 44 sq mi or 114 km².

Chandigarh is about 240 km away from Delhi. You can get luxury buses also from Delhi ISBT to Chandigarh. The buses moves through roadways of Ambala Cant.

You can take train also from Delhi to reach Chandigarh.

In the Chandigarh city you can take Auto Rikshaw, Rikshow and buses for your communication. It is very beautiful city because it not only well planned but also it is decorated from flowers and garden also.

If you have plan to visit Chandigarh really it can be a amazing tour. In the Chandigarh you can arrange hotel very easily because it is not very dense city. Garden and Parks are main attraction point of the city.

Bihar Tour with Gaya City Travel

Gaya is a small city of Bihar. It is always center point from tourism point of view. It has historical importance like Patna. In the Bihar Travel I had written in short about Gaya. Here I am here dedicatedly going to write about Gaya Tour which is a part of Bihar.

Gaya is about 100 Kilometers in South from Patna. And it is situated on the bank river “Falgu”. Gaya is most impart from Hindu Mythology because it is the place of Gautam Buddha enlightment. From Gaya about 15 Kilometers far way there is a place which known as “Bodh Gaya”. Bodh Gaya is the place where Gautam Buddha got enlightenment.

How to Reach Gaya?

To reach Gaya you can reach by a train, airplane or roadways. You can take a train from Patna or Airplane or bus to reach Gaya.

Gaya Visits:

In the Gaya you can visit Mahabodhi Temple which is Bodh Gaya. In the Bodh Gaya you can visit also Vishal Buddha Mandir which 300 ft. tall. In the Gaya you can visit Gayasisa or Brahmayoni hill also where Gautam Buddha got the Fire Sutra knowledge.

Along with in the Gaya many hills are there to visit. Gaya is very small city like Patna.

Tour of Patna – Visit Gol Ghar Must

If you have plan to tour Patna, capital of Bihar then must visit Gol Ghar. It is nothing but a round house but it is a historical house and in history it has own importance. It is near Gandhi Maidan. Its look and architecture is very fantastic. I have already wore an introduction in previous post also about it.

It has its own history also. The purpose of making Gol Ghar was to store grains for the British Army. It was time of 1770 when a devastating famine killed about 10 million people of Bengal, Bihar and modern Bangladesh. That time all the area was joint and known as Bengal.

In history of East India Company it was the time of Waren Hestings and Gol Ghar was built by an Engineer Captain John Garstin.

It has great and an unique architecture. Its height about 29 m. and 145 steps to reach on the top. It is most important also from tour and travel point of view because it has historical importance.

Victoria Memorial is located in Kolkata about which I have already written in my previous post. Here I am writing about that visit if you have plan to tour in Kolkata to see Victoria Memorial. It is in memory of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. It is now as a museum and a big attraction of tourist.

It was designed by Sir William Emerson which is in style of Italian Style. It was built between 1906 to 1921. Victoria memorial hall is in the center of Kolkata city. If you have plan to visit Kolkata central you can include it also in your trip.

Victoria Memorial is main center of Kolkata tour. Near Dharamtalla Maidan and Ravindra Sadan it is situated. In the evening you can find many couple surround the museum. It is famous for its attraction. In the morning it is used as a walking field its ground by nearer people.

In the evening in Victoria Memorial you can attained some musical party also which is arranged by the Victoria Memorial Team. It is minimal entrance fees and you can see here Queen Victoria's stuff as a memory.
