Shimla : Travel of North India

Shimla is in Himachal Pradesh. The destination has attracted world wide tourist due to its beauty. I am going to write here about Shimala as a tourist guide from a blog which name is Indian Travel Destination Guide.

Shimla originally known as Simla. It is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864 Shimla has been declared as summer camp of the erstwhile by British Raj in India. Shimla is normally known as “Queen of Hills” and a tourist destination point.

Shimla geography tells that it is about 2397.59 high from the sea level. Jakhoo hill is the highest point of Shimla which is about 2454 meters above.

People of Shimla known as Shimlaites. During the tourist season you can see every year celebration of people with variety of traditional festivals.

Visitors point in Shimla

In Shimla main attraction points for visitors are – The Mall which is shopping center.

Christ Church: It is situated on the Ridge and it is second oldest Church of Northern India.

Jakhu Hill: Is is 2 km far way from Shimla. It is the highest peak so you can enjoy a beautiful view of the town which is from snow-covered Himalayas.

Shimla State Museum: It has been opened in 1974 and it is full of state’s wealth and culture’s view.

Summer Hill: it is situated on Shimla-Kalka railway line and it is about 5 km away from Shimla.

Tara Devi: It is the temple of Star Goddess and is very famous in the state of Himachal. It is 11 km way from Shimla bus stand.

Everybody likes traveling! This is a proven fact when a person travels, especially abroad it gives him fun and pleasure. North India is the one of the most beauty part of India. It is famous for hill station as well as religion. North India cover from Delhi to Srinagar. In this traveling most important parts comes from Uttranchal and Uttrakhand.

Here specially I am going to let you know about Uttranchal and Uttrakhand traveling. In these main tourist places are Nanital, Mussoorie and Auli.

Nanital : It is known as two words “Naini” and “Tal”. In the Nainital most visiting place as a hill station are - Naina Peak, Bhimtal, Sat Tal, Naukuchia Tal, Snow View etc.

Mussoorie main attractions are - Mussoorie Lake, Gun Hill, Mall Road etc. Mussoorie is mainly famous for hill station and skiing.

Auli : it is one more Indian traveling destination which is famous for Hill station and skiing. Boating are also famous here. Here main attraction are - Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Gurso Bugyal etc.

These are the some important part of North India to visit. These are known as holiday destination in north India.

Chandigarh known as one of the most beautiful city of India. It is the capital of Panjab and Haryana jointly. Chandigarh city is on the name of goddess Chandi who is the goddess of Hindu. It is one of the union territory of India.

Geography of Chandigarh:

It is basically located in Haryana state. It is located near about foothills of the Shivalik range of the Himalayas in Northwest India. It is in approximately 44 sq mi or 114 km².

Chandigarh is about 240 km away from Delhi. You can get luxury buses also from Delhi ISBT to Chandigarh. The buses moves through roadways of Ambala Cant.

You can take train also from Delhi to reach Chandigarh.

In the Chandigarh city you can take Auto Rikshaw, Rikshow and buses for your communication. It is very beautiful city because it not only well planned but also it is decorated from flowers and garden also.

If you have plan to visit Chandigarh really it can be a amazing tour. In the Chandigarh you can arrange hotel very easily because it is not very dense city. Garden and Parks are main attraction point of the city.

Gaya is a small city of Bihar. It is always center point from tourism point of view. It has historical importance like Patna. In the Bihar Travel I had written in short about Gaya. Here I am here dedicatedly going to write about Gaya Tour which is a part of Bihar.

Gaya is about 100 Kilometers in South from Patna. And it is situated on the bank river “Falgu”. Gaya is most impart from Hindu Mythology because it is the place of Gautam Buddha enlightment. From Gaya about 15 Kilometers far way there is a place which known as “Bodh Gaya”. Bodh Gaya is the place where Gautam Buddha got enlightenment.

How to Reach Gaya?

To reach Gaya you can reach by a train, airplane or roadways. You can take a train from Patna or Airplane or bus to reach Gaya.

Gaya Visits:

In the Gaya you can visit Mahabodhi Temple which is Bodh Gaya. In the Bodh Gaya you can visit also Vishal Buddha Mandir which 300 ft. tall. In the Gaya you can visit Gayasisa or Brahmayoni hill also where Gautam Buddha got the Fire Sutra knowledge.

Along with in the Gaya many hills are there to visit. Gaya is very small city like Patna.

Tour of Patna – Visit Gol Ghar Must

If you have plan to tour Patna, capital of Bihar then must visit Gol Ghar. It is nothing but a round house but it is a historical house and in history it has own importance. It is near Gandhi Maidan. Its look and architecture is very fantastic. I have already wore an introduction in previous post also about it.

It has its own history also. The purpose of making Gol Ghar was to store grains for the British Army. It was time of 1770 when a devastating famine killed about 10 million people of Bengal, Bihar and modern Bangladesh. That time all the area was joint and known as Bengal.

In history of East India Company it was the time of Waren Hestings and Gol Ghar was built by an Engineer Captain John Garstin.

It has great and an unique architecture. Its height about 29 m. and 145 steps to reach on the top. It is most important also from tour and travel point of view because it has historical importance.

Kolkata Tour for Victoria Memorial

Victoria Memorial is located in Kolkata about which I have already written in my previous post. Here I am writing about that visit if you have plan to tour in Kolkata to see Victoria Memorial. It is in memory of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. It is now as a museum and a big attraction of tourist.

It was designed by Sir William Emerson which is in style of Italian Style. It was built between 1906 to 1921. Victoria memorial hall is in the center of Kolkata city. If you have plan to visit Kolkata central you can include it also in your trip.

Victoria Memorial is main center of Kolkata tour. Near Dharamtalla Maidan and Ravindra Sadan it is situated. In the evening you can find many couple surround the museum. It is famous for its attraction. In the morning it is used as a walking field its ground by nearer people.

In the evening in Victoria Memorial you can attained some musical party also which is arranged by the Victoria Memorial Team. It is minimal entrance fees and you can see here Queen Victoria's stuff as a memory.

Visit to Patna – Capital of Bihar

Patna is the capital of Bihar. Its old name is Patliputra. Patna is divided into two parts old Patna which is Patna City and New patna which is Patna Town. Patna city is in east side of new patna and both are Southern bank of Ganga River. Patna is a small town about 25 KM long and 10 KM wide. By the history it was started by Ajatashatru, the King of Magadh in 490 BC.

How to reach: Now Patna is a developed town and it has own Airport and Railway Junctions. You can choose any to come Patna.

Visiting Place in Patna: There are some historical place and some new place to visit here in Patna –

Hanuman Mandir – it is near railway junction.

Kumhrar – Now it is like a museum and here are the ruins of Ashoka King.

Mahatma Gandhi Setu – The Bridge is one of the longest bridges in the world for Single River. It connects Hazipur and Patna.

Patna is basically for student of Bihar who are preparing and studying in Patna. It is study center also.

Mainly, here you can visit Biscoman Tower, Murya Hotel, Stediam and Planetarium. The town has more density because it is small and here for traveling you can auto rickshaw.

However, it is well town to visit as a tourist because here is most of the things to see and learn.

Bihar Tour for Nalanda

Nalanda is famous for old university. It is In Bihar. It is far from Patna about 55 miles in south east. We know Patna is the capital of Bihar. I have already wrtten about Bihar tourism in my previous post and have some about Nalanda also. But here I want to explain about Nalanda visit in details.

How to reach Nalanda : You can take a car or can visit by bus from Patna. To come Patna there is Airport and Junctions also.

What visit there : There are lots of thing to visit in Nalanda. You can visit old university of Nalanda. It is famous in world. It has own history. In the university students were from China, India, Bengal etc. It is the place of Buddhist also.

Here, you can research and enjoy also with ancient art, design and culture. About it people says that It was the 1st residential university and over 10,000 students and about 2,000 teachers are there. According to history it was built in Gupta kingdom in 450 century.

About its decline people and history says that it was destroyed by Bakhtiyar Khilji in 1193. It was big university so you have big place to visit here.

Visit to Bihar

“Bihar” is one of the most famous state of India due to unemployment and major density. Its old name was “Vihar”. Vihar is the word of visiting. It is famous from ancient age for visiting and about its history.

It is in north India. “Moyra” Kingdom was in the part of Bihar. Now Bihar is no developed state but as a tour point of view it has own importance. It has own culture, civilization, arts which attract tourist to visit the state.

In Bihar, In Madhubani district arts and crafts are famous in the world. Like that Hajipur district is the famous for Banana and Mujafar Pur district is for “Lichchi”.

Patna is the capital of Bihar. It is the center point of all tourist. It has own airport and Railway Junctions. Along with its attraction point is “Gol Ghar”. Gol Ghar of Patna is the most famous.

Nalanda is also most famous place for its Old Naland University. Gaya is the famous for “Buddha stoop”. Bihar is the full diversity place where any visitor get a lots of enjoyment along with diverse knowledge about culture, place, civilization, arts and crafts.

Patna is the near of Ganga so, its one more place is the beach of Ganga to tour.

Travel Kolkata City

Most density city of India is Kolkata. Its old name was Calcutta. It is in west bengal, est side of India. It was the capital of India in British Raj. In 2001 its name was changed Kolkata from Culcutta. It is situated near Hugli River. Bay of Bengal is near its. It is famous for industry and factory. About its politics always left has ruled over here.

Kolkata is a metropolitan city. About its transportation there are Tram, Rail, Taxi, Buses and Metro. The town is most conjusted like Mumbai. I was here about 6 years. Main language of the city is Bengali. People love to speak Bengali or English. But Hindi is not far from them. It is also a known language for them.

Its main attraction point which attract visitors are – Victoria Garden, Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Tipu Sultan Mosque, The National Library, Plantoriam, Indian Institute of Management, Eden Gardens, Science City, Zoo, Museum etc.

A big field which name is “Dharmtalla Maidan” also attract people. Its culture is very good. But people of Bengal are very poor. They spend their life in poverty. You can visit to Victoria Temple which is near about “Dharmtalla Maidan”. Also you can visit here plentoriam, Museum and zoo near this.

Most of the visitors come to visit Bengal to see its old constructions of the building. You can say it “Mahlo Ka Sahar”. Fort William, Kolkata Port, St. Paul's Cathedral and Victoria Memorial is the example of it.

Hawrah Bridge on Hughly river is the attraction point. If you go here in evening you can see sun set and its beauty. There are two bridge old and new. From the new bridge you are able to see whole Kolkata.

Gurgaon Travel – NCR of Delhi

Gurgaon is one of the gigantic city. It is also NCR of Delhi. It has big industrial Estate. It is in south west of Delhi. If you have to plan Delhi make sure you should also travel Gurgaon because it is one of the most developed city of India.

Most of the gigantic companies are situated here. Many manufacturing companies are here. It is a beautiful city also. It has also its beauty by residential colony or big apartment. Residential colonies are situated in well planned way.

Here you can visit many shopping mall also. Many complexes and multiplex along with PVR cinema and restaurant you can visit. In Gurgaon you can find out many park and garden also. But main attraction of this city are mall and restaurant.

Ghaziabad – NCR travel of Delhi

Like Noida, Ghaziabad is also NCR of Delhi. It is also commercial estate. But here you can visit also if you have plan to visit Delhi. It is in East side of Delhi. You can get bus or train from Delhi. From Nijamudin, ITO or Anand Bihar you can get bus for Ghaziabad.

Ghaziabad is famous for export factory. It has also gigantic civilization with working class. There are many gigantic apartment or flats also. You can visit here for the purpose of Working class density. Here you can find the working capability.

Along with there are also some big park, restaurant and hotel also. You can stay here fore some time if you want to take a stay for beautiful evening.

Noida – NCR travel of Delhi

If you have plan to travel Delhi then surly you will visit NCR. In NCR Noida is most famous. It is near Delhi. It is situated on East and South location of Delhi. Noida is famous for industrial location. There are many big company and well planned structure it is. One of the most famous part of Noida for industry and planned society is Greater Noida.

Noida is divided into part like sector. It is on NH which cross to Gajiyabad. It has great road, great mall, great industries and great offices. Noida has its own beauty. It has Film city also.

In Noida flyover and park are also available. One of the most famous park near sector 16 is Gulab Vatika. It is very big and full of flower.

So, if you don't visit Noida, It is not useful of your visiting Delhi.

Travel capital of India - Delhi

Delhi is the capital of India so it is really good looking place where we can visit or tour if we have plan to travel somewhere. It is India 2nd largest populated city. It has many historical and new places where we can visit and take some knowledge about that places. Recently in Delhi DTC buses has launched its new buses which has new design and look from the old. You can visit it by radio Taxi, Auto and recently will launch high capacity buses in Delhi also.

Most visited place of Delhi is India Gate. It is near CP and well planned and decorated it is. It has large space and outside it Parliament and President house has been situated. In president house there is a Mugal garden which is beauty of president house but it is opened only in February.

After this there are Lal Quaila which is also most famous and visited place of Delhi. It is near Dariya Ganj and near Jama masjid. It is very populated area.

Purani Quila (Old Quila) near Zoo is also most famous. It is near Appoo Ghar and Pragati maidan. Pragati maidan is also famous for its business purpose.

There are Many garden in Delhi which is Budha garden, Lodhi garden, Garden of sixth sense, IP park. which is visited place.

Many of temple here which is also for visiting porpuse that are Akshardham Mandir, Lotas tample, Chhatarpur temple, Kalkaji Temple etc which is most famous.

There are also qutub minar and Mahrouli Khandhar which is famous in world.

Along with Mall and commercial place like Conought Place and South Extension is in Delhi.

Travel give us enjoy. To great travel and tours we need to some managements. What is that? We are able to arrange before leaving for tour?

There are some tips and useful information which should keep with us during traveling. They are : Camera, Notebook, Diary, Bags etc. Before leaving for travel that are much useful things. If you are going on tour and you have not a camera then you not a single enjoyment for your past.

Camera : By camera you can capture your desire place and desire things. If you have not this you will loose all the memories for past.

Notebook or diary : These much useful for traveling because during travel we get lots of informations if we don't note that we have no any value of tour. So, make sure before leaving for tour must keep a notebook at least.

Bags : This is also most useful because we get many things during travel which is unique so buying that for keeping, bag is must.

So these are the basic things which keep up with us if we have plan to travel.

Traveling is a great enjoyment

Personally, I like much travel; city to city or jungle to jungle. It can be my interest but now it is not my alone. I think most of the people if they get some in their life they want to go on tour. This is not a choice of today's people it is from our past days. We know from it our novel which is based on tourism.

So, tourism is not for only enjoyment it gives us lots of knowledge and life experience also. We see people going with them in Park for enjoyment but when they go on vacations they feel real enjoyment.

In advance country it is most famous but now it is famous in India also. India is the place of visiting people. There are many tourist place where we can visit and enjoy. Personally, I have visited many places which is Dehi, Kolkata, Bihar, Utter Pradesh, Gharkhand and Uttranchal.

So I can share my all experience which is related to my life.
